How am I supposed to explain myself in a paragraph??

At his core, I’m a chatty, over-caffeinated, fast-taling, and lowkey anxious person who loves narrating stories to myself in my head. Ever since I was a teenager, I’ve been writing stories, beginning with some truly cringey Kingdom Hearts fanfiction (I was a Sora x Roxas fanboy, sue me) and am now working on a three-book series, In Search of Home.

If there’s a guiding logic to all my writing, it’s that to me, the human condition is at the sole of every story. Genres like fantasy or sci-fi are, for me, just window dressing that let me tell stories about the hopes, dreams, loves, losses, strengths, and weaknesses of regular people put in impossible situations.

I grew up in Alberta but now live in Vancouver on the unceded lands of the Musqueam, Sqamish, and Tsleil-Waututh nations. I work in project management and, in what’s left of my free time outside of writing, I read a ton of gay fiction/fantasy and big boring history books, workout, and am a big fan of when people say “happy hour?!”
